A deeply troubling case has emerged from Chak Number 220 RB Bawawala in Faisalabad, where a Christian family is pleading for justice after the disappearance of their 16-year-old daughter, Yashf Noor. What began as a routine trip to a nearby shop has turned into a nightmare for the family, who say they have been searching desperately for her ever since she failed to return home.
According to the family, Yashf Noor left home to buy noodles from a nearby store and was last seen around 4:00 p.m. Her sudden disappearance has left her parents devastated and has created fear across the local community. The family believes the incident was not accidental and says suspicious individuals had been seen in the area for several days before she went missing.
They have accused two brothers, Qalb Abbas and Qalb Ali, of being involved in the case. Local residents also claim that when the family tried to stop these individuals from lingering near the house, gunshots were fired outside the home, spreading panic in the neighborhood. These allegations have intensified fears that the girl may have been deliberately taken or pressured under circumstances that need urgent investigation.
Yashf Noor’s father, Samuel Jan, is a laborer who supports his family through hard work and limited means. He says he is moving from place to place in search of his daughter, but no concrete progress has been made. The family insists that Yashf Noor is only 16 years and 5 months old and says they have official NADRA records to prove her age. Despite this, they claim that documents have surfaced suggesting a change of religion, raising serious questions about how any such claim could be accepted in the case of a minor.
Her mother, overcome with grief, has repeatedly appealed to the government and police for help in recovering her youngest daughter. The family has also urged Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Faisalabad Police, and other relevant authorities to act immediately and ensure that Yashf Noor is safely recovered without delay.
This case is more than just one family’s tragedy. It reflects the vulnerability of poor and powerless families who often struggle to get timely justice when their children go missing. If a minor girl can disappear under such circumstances and the system still moves slowly, then serious questions must be asked about protection, accountability, and the rule of law.
The authorities must treat this matter as a priority. A swift, transparent, and fair investigation is essential, not only to bring the girl back safely but also to ensure that anyone involved is held responsible under the law. For Yashf Noor’s family, every passing hour matters, and for society at large, this case is a test of whether justice truly exists for the weak.
